Channels
Storing and managing your product information in the PIM is only part of the benefits of using Jasper PIM. Our self-serve Channel Configuration tool gives you the ability to add new BigCommerce, Shopify, or Magento M2 Storefronts quickly and easily, without the need of a tech support.
Some of the available configuration options on channels require other features of the PIM to have been configured previously.

Navigate to the Channels Menu
The Channels entity is located in the Configuration section of the left side navigation, the channels menu displays all the created channels and relevant information including:
Channel type
Name
Price Base
Enabled Status
From here you can view/edit a channel to see more information by clicking on the “View” button or click on “Create Channel” to create a new one .
The Channels Configuration Page
For each channel type, the available fields for configuration may change. For specific instructions on setting up your Channels, please refer to the articles specified for each channel type:

In addition to the credentials required for publication, the Channel Configuration page consists of multiple tabs which allows for the following information to be configured:
Details
The following fields are mandatory and should be configured when creating a new channel:
Field | Description |

Name | This value is used internally inside the PIM to identifying the storefront (External System) |
Channel Type | The value is defined when creating the channel to determine the configuration of that specific channel. This is a Read-Only field and can’t change after the channel is created. |
Inventory Location | Specifies the location for inventory in the PIM that you wish to send to this channel. Should you wish not to track inventory, you are still required to choose an Inventory Location for setup. |
Price Base | Specifies the price records you wish to send to this channel. |
Version | If versions are configured for your PIM, select the version to publish to the chosen channel. Otherwise choose Master. |
Base Category | Specifies the Root level category used to create the menu structure on the channel. |
Credentials | |
The credentials section stores your API information which allows for the connection to be established. The fields are channel type specific and are covered in the articles for each channel type. | |
Assets
Specifies a thumbnail for that channel that appears on the channels list and channels tab.
Delete
Allows to delete the channel by clicking on the “Delete Channel” button. When the button is clicked, a text field is displayed for the user to confirm deletion by typing DELETE, as displayed below:
Tools
Allows users to sync the below entities from the PIM to that channel.
Sync Products to Channel
Allows to sync the existing products inside the PIM to the channel. Confirm by typing SYNC-PRODUCTS, then select Begin Sync.
Sync Prices to Channel
Allows to sync the existing product prices inside the PIM to the channel. Confirm by typing SYNC-PRICES, then select Begin Sync.
Sync Inventory to Channel
Allows to sync the product inventory inside the PIM to the channel. Confirm by typing SYNC-INVENTORY, then select Begin Sync.
Sync Product Options to Channel
Allows to sync the product options inside the PIM to the channel. Confirm by typing SYNC-PRODUCT-OPTIONS, then select Begin Sync.
Sync Products to Channel, Full mode
Allows to do a full sync for products from the PIM to the channel. Confirm by typing SYNC-PRODUCTS-FULL, then select Begin Sync.
Sync Categories to Channel
Allows to categories from the PIM to the channel. Confirm by typing SYNC-CATEGORIES, then select Begin Sync.
Import
Import All Store
Allows to Import the entire entities form the external system (Channel) to the PIM
Import Product URLs
Allows to import the Product URLs to the PIM, and display them under the SEO tab on the Products screen for each individual product.
Stats
This tab displays the total number of parent/single products that are mapped into that channel inside the PIM.
BC Options
This tab allows to specify the settings for each channel and the fields can vary based on the channel type. Please refer to the guide for each channel configuration to see the options.
Admin
Display Custom Transformers and assign PHP classes for each transformer.
