Creating Options and Option Sets

Options

To create your options follow these steps:

Select Configuration from the main PIM menu on the left hand side.
Select the options dropdown
Select options once more
From the options list, click the Create Option button in the upper right hand corner
Name your new option and click continue
Choose from one of the available display types (Note: not all display types are supported by all e-commerce platforms)
Populate your option values and click save for each value

You can reorder the option values by changing the numeric values in the Order field next to each option value and click Save/ Save & Sync to update the options in the channels.

Option Sets

Now that you have created your Option with values you will have to create an option set in order to assign the options to a product, converting into a parent product.

Navigate to the configuration section on the left hand side
Drill down to options
Select option sets
Click Create Option Set from the upper right hand corner
Name your option set and click continue
Click the options tab from the next screen
Search for the options you wish to use, select them one by one
You can drag and drop the order in which the options will be displayed. Click done when finished
Return to the details tab and save the option set
