Creating and Enriching a Product Inside the PIM

Products inside the PIM

The Jasper PIM supports many product workflows including the ability to create and publish products wholly within the PIM itself. This article will walk through the product creation and enrichment process.

Create A Product

Navigate to the Products Index by clicking Products from the left side navigation. From there, locate the Create Product button in the upper right hand corner and click it. A modal window will pop up, fill in the product name and click create.

The Product Edit Screen

After you create your product you will be taken to the product edit screen. From here you can enrich your product with descriptions, pricing, assets and custom attributes. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the different features of the product edit screen.

The Sidebar

The sidebar is your mini command center for product configuration. You are able to add categories, attribute sets, tags and relations directly from the sidebar. Learn more about the sidebar here.

The Details Tab

The details tab stores your base product information including name, SKU, description and brand information. Learn more about the details tab here.

The SEO Tab

Use the SEO tab to populate your product page titles, meta descriptions and meta keywords. Learn about the SEO tab here.

The Shipping Tab

The PIM stores your shipping information including package weight and dimensions. Learn about the shipping tab here.

The Barcodes Tab

The PIM stores a variety of barcode data including the most common unique identifiers as well as custom barcodes. Learn about barcodes here.

Attributes

Attributes are the heart of Jasper PIM. You have the ability to create an unlimited number of custom attributes to better organize, merchandise and market your products to your customers. Learn all about attributes here.

Assets

The PIM acts as a mini-digital asset manager (DAM). Here you can upload your images and pdf documents. Learn more about assets here.

Pricing

Use the price section to populate your product pricing information. Sell in different currencies across different channels and maintain full pricing history in the PIM. Learn more about pricing here.

Inventory

Use the PIM to store and publish product stock levels from the inventory section. Sell from multiple warehouses across different channels. Learn about inventory here.

Relations

Use product relations to link products together in the PIM. Advanced users can create complex product models using relations including bundles. Learn about relations here.
