Working With Versions
Pre-Requisites
This article assumes you have previously created versions in your PIM. If you have not yet done so, please refer to the article on Understanding Versions to get started.
The Product Version Switcher
In order to see and edit product content in different versions first navigate to the product you wish to edit. Inside the product edit window, the upper right hand corner will display the word “Master.” If you click “Master” a list of the created versions will expand, allowing you to select which version you wish to view and/or edit.
Some content will become greyed out and unavailable to edit when working in a version other than Master. These fields are part of the unique identifiers both in the PIM and for publication channels.
What Data Can Be Changed With Versions?
The following content can store multiple version data:

Setting A Version For A Publication Channel
When you are ready to publish your product version data to a channel, navigate to the channel in question by selecting Configuration > Channels from the left hand menu and click on the channel you wish to edit.
Once there, click the dropdown for Version and select the version you wish to use when publishing data. When the product syncs to the channel, any data that is available for the selected version will publish instead of the Master values. For all other data points, the Master values will publish.
